Bath’s green spaces earn a fresh reason to visit

Visitors and residents in Bath can continue to use seven parks and green spaces recognised under the Green Flag Award standard. Bath and North East Somerset Council says the sites have retained the international quality mark, which assesses the standard of parks and green spaces for the people who use them.

Seven Bath sites hold Green Flag status

The seven awarded locations are:

• Alexandra Park
• Haycombe Cemetery
• Bloomfield Green
• Hedgemead Park
• Henrietta Park
• Royal Victoria Park
• Sydney Gardens

Alexandra Park has again joined the other six locations, all of which have received the award on multiple occasions.

Recognition for maintained spaces across Bath

The Green Flag Award is given to parks and green spaces judged to meet its quality standard. For Bath visitors, the latest result identifies a mix of parks, gardens, open land and cemetery grounds that the council says are maintained to a high standard.

Councillor Oli Henman, Cabinet Project Lead for Climate Change, credited the council’s Parks team, Bereavement Services team and volunteers for the seven repeat awards. He said access to green spaces supports both wellbeing and nature.

The awards are in their 30th year. A record 2,391 parks and green spaces across the UK received Green Flag recognition in 2026, according to the council. Residents looking for a nearby option can use Bath and North East Somerset Council’s park and green-space finder.
