North Northamptonshire students: routes after results

Year 13 students across North Northamptonshire are receiving A-Level, T-Level and Level 3 vocational technical qualification results on 13 August 2026. For those moving into university, further education, an apprenticeship or work, the next step may depend on the options available after results are known.

North Northamptonshire Council says students who did not receive the grades they hoped for can still seek guidance on alternatives, including retakes, different courses and university clearing.

Start with your school or sixth form

Schools can advise students on the choices open to them after results day. This includes discussing whether a retake is appropriate and identifying alternative courses that may fit a student’s qualifications and plans.

Students considering higher education can also use UCAS guidance on clearing, which sets out options at universities across the UK after results have been received.

Local college courses and training routes

Students looking to continue their studies locally can check course information from Northamptonshire providers including Tresham College and Moulton College. The council highlighted both colleges as sources of information on further- and higher-education courses available in the area.

A change of plan after results does not necessarily mean delaying progress: local course options, apprenticeships and work-based opportunities may offer different routes towards a future career.
