Harrogate residents can hear directly from local NHS leaders—and put their own questions to them—at the free HDFT Annual Members’ Meeting on Monday 21 September 2026.
The event will take place in the Derwent Room at The Pavilions of Harrogate, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, HG2 8NZ. Registration opens at 4.30pm, refreshments will be available, and the formal meeting runs from 5pm until 7pm.
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is inviting staff, patients, volunteers, Foundation Trust members, partner organisations, stakeholders and other local residents. Places are expected to be popular, so advance registration is encouraged.
Local healthcare plans move into the public conversation
This year’s meeting is built around the Trust’s “10 Year Plan” theme. It will set out how teams are working to improve patient care, develop services and support communities across Harrogate, North Yorkshire and areas beyond the town.
The programme will review the Trust’s achievements during 2025/26 and explain how its work has affected patients, service users and local communities. Attendees will also hear about the challenges and opportunities facing local healthcare services, the organisation’s priorities for the coming year and its plans for maintaining safe, compassionate and high-quality care.

For residents, the evening offers more than a presentation of annual results. It provides an opportunity to give feedback, raise questions and discuss the direction of services with the people responsible for governing and delivering them.
Sarah Armstrong, Chair of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, described the meeting as an opportunity for the organisation to report openly on its performance, recognise staff achievements and listen to the communities it serves.
“Your questions, feedback and ideas help shape our services,” Armstrong said, inviting patients, staff, volunteers, partner organisations and local residents to take part in the discussion.
Service stands and conversations with NHS teams
Information stands will showcase services from across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. Visitors will be able to speak directly with the teams delivering care and learn more about work taking place across the organisation.

The period before the formal meeting will include refreshments and networking. Attendees can meet HDFT Governors, Directors and staff, as well as find out how Foundation Trust membership allows local people to become more involved in healthcare services in their communities.
The combination of service stands, direct conversations and the formal review gives visitors several ways to participate. Those mainly interested in a particular service can speak with staff at the stands, while residents seeking a wider view of local healthcare can follow the performance review and discussion of future priorities.
